Background/Conflict

Phonesoap.com needed a refresh. With outdated UI and limited product education, it was difficult for users to make an intelligent decision on a purchase without getting frustrated and confused. The original site had been created out of necessity and without the user in mind.

Solution

My goal was to create a user experience that centered around 1. Education on sanitizing with UV-C light, and 2. comparing each product since they were very similar and some had overlapping features. I began research with these user needs in mind. I tried several different organizational methods and labeling systems to get to the final design for the shop page and product comparison, a new feature inspired by Apple’s iPhone comparison feature.

Outcome

I was satisfied with the site's new, elevated design and functionality and improved accessibility for users. The result was a more seamless experience that allowed for an expanded product line while educating users on the product functionality and a deeper understanding of which product(s) best fit their needs and lifestyle.

Final Prototype - Mobile

Additionally, I created the PhoneSoap brand guide to create a strong brand identity and enhance trust in the products. This guide included use cases for logos, typography, color, icons, buttons, and imagery and was designed to be used across the brand for marketing, graphic design, and product design.
